Join the Dive Centre Manly Dive Club at one of Sydney’s most iconic and historic dive locations - Quarantine Beach, North Head - in search of the critically endangered Grey Nurse Sharks.
Collect your gear from the shop at around 8 am (or the day before), and get ready for a 9 am splash into the protected waters of Sydney Harbour. Before hitting the water, one of our experienced dive team members will run through a full dive site briefing to help you get the most out of this unique, unguided shore dive.
Q-Station is one of Sydney’s most unique dive spots, combining a rich Harbour history with an underwater playground just metres from shore. Once used as a quarantine facility, it’s a place with stories in every direction, and the calm, protected water makes it ideal for a relaxed sunday morning dive. Expect to spot wobbegong sharks, octopus, numb rays, reaper & giant cuttlefish, fan-bellied leatherjackets, nudibranchs and dusky flatheads, and with some luck, Grey Nurse Sharks.
Important Info: This is a single-shore dive – If going unguided, Advanced Open Water certification is required.
Meeting Point: 8.45 am Quarantine Beach, 1 North Head Scenic Drive, Manly NSW 2095
Parking & Shuttle Info: Parking is available at North Head. A shuttle service will help transport your gear from the hotel reception to the dive site.
