While many people recognise Bare Island from Mission Impossible II, local divers appreciate it as a reliable and rewarding shore dive in Sydney. This site is famous for its biodiversity, underwater topography, and the sheer variety of marine life you can encounter on a single dive.
On these two guided dives, you’ll explore ledges, sponge gardens, sandy patches and rocky reefs that are home to some of Sydney’s most sought-after species. Keep your eyes peeled for pygmy pipehorses, seahorses, stingrays, eastern blue devil fish, red indian fish, anglerfish, moray eels, cuttlefish, and a large variety of nudibranchs.

These will be optional guided dives. One of our PADI Pros will provide a site orientation for divers who prefer to explore independently.

Please note that transportation to the dive site is not provided. However, we are happy to help coordinate carpooling. If you need a ride or have space available, please reach out to the shop team.

Gear and tanks will need to be collected on Friday, in the afternoon, and a liability form will need to be completed before entering the water.

- Minimum Open Water Certification with 10 dives.
